GENERAL OPINION :
- This TV satisfies me in every way. The picture is really nice, and the sound is immersive. I was not satisfied with the factory settings, but you can adjust the picture to your liking in the settings.

PICTURE QUALITY :
The brightness for me is more than enough for indoor viewing in daylight. The image and colours are very contrasty, even too much so. I went to lower the contrast (to avoid ruining my eyes) and raise the black level (to reveal more details in the dark areas).

If you look really carefully, you can sometimes discern a bright halo around light elements surrounded by dark (blooming). It wasn't noticeable enough to bother me, but it should be noted that this effect tends to become more pronounced as you move away from the screen. This problem is less present on this screen than on LED screens.

When watching some Dolby vision compatible movies, there are only 3 picture modes to choose from: "Dolby IQ", "Bright" and "Dark". The "Dolby IQ" mode has the advantage of enhancing the image, but movements are made (supposedly) more fluid thanks to an "intelligent" programme, which distorts the film (the famous "Soap opera effect"). It's not completely mastered, so you often see jerks and artefacts, which is a shame.
That said, it is possible to get around this by selecting the "Bright" or "Dark" mode, which allow the user to deactivate the "motion smoothing".

SOUND:
The sound on this TV blew me away for the price. A relative who had trouble hearing dialogue on other TVs understood it effortlessly on this TCL TV. As a result, I don't need additional speakers, and it frees up space on my table. Practical.

N.B: Don't forget to activate the "Computer" or "Game" mode when you connect it to a PC for less latency
