TheTascam DP-008EX digital multitrack recorder provides professional, feature-rich recording in a compact size. With two static microphones placed directly in front, this battery-powered multitrack recorder is ideal for on-site or outdoor recording. Record vocals or acoustic guitar whenever you want, with no extra equipment or setup time. With the analog feel of dedicated control knobs, built-in chromatic tuner and metronome, and lightweight design, this Pocketstudio is one of the easiest to use music notebooks on the market.
Professional quality
The DP-008EX has two combo inputs (XLR/TS jack) with phantom power for condenser microphones, and can be used to connect external microphones, an electric or acoustic guitar, or a line-level device such as a synthesizer. With an optional adapter cable, you can also connect a tablet, such as an iPad. The recording medium is a widely used SD/SDHC card. The device comes with a 2 GB card. All your song ideas can be transferred to and from the device via the USB 2.0 port or an SD card reader at any stage of the recording process. A variety of editing functions are also available.
Control your projects
The DP-008EX also features insert effects on all input channels: EQ, compressor, de-esser, exciter. In addition, six different reverb types are available, so you can optimally adapt your sound to any musical style. The reverb level is easily adjusted by means of start knobs on each track. And mastering effects, such as a 2-band EQ, multi-band compressor and level-normalization processing, help create high-quality master files. You can master your files manually or use the automatic analysis function.
