I bought it as a replacement for an iPad Pro and was curious about this new format.
I immediately adopted it as a tablet that goes everywhere with me and fits in a large pocket.
Perfect order and delivery with LDLC.
I received my iPad faster than expected, and it lived up to my expectations.
An interface that makes you want to get back into the Apple ecosystem, easy to hold and really well designed for transport. We'll have to wait and see how long the battery lasts!

it should be noted however that my old Ipad mini from 2014 worked perfectly, but due to system and application updates, the tablet has become difficult to use and unusable with certain applications; I suppose this is what is known as programmed obsolescence....
I bought this ipad mini to replace my old ipad mini 2 which was clearly a complete mess! I'm not at all disappointed with my purchase, I took the 64GB because I don't need more than that as I have a NAS at home. I hope it will last a bit longer than my old one, as I use it every day for multimedia purposes.
I had a 10.1" android tablet (v. 5.0.2) that worked but due to the age of the android version, I was limited in the choice of apps I could install. As I was going to be bedridden for a month I wanted a source of digital entertainment. My criteria was weight, small size, good screen definition and durability (hardware that doesn't become obsolete within 3 years of release), these criteria pushed me towards the ipad mini. After seeing a lot of comparisons, and not seeing a viable android alternative I decided to break the bank :). My uses are watching video content (youtube, movies, replay), viewing web pages, viewing digital books (epub and pdf), listening to spotify. Everything works perfectly, I am fully satisfied. Small downsides..... I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it for a long time. The screen is ideal for me and I can watch videos or read books without difficulty because small screen = small weight !!! :) If you have the budget you can go for it (and buy his pencil at the same time)

At first, the price and the fact that the screen is only 60 Hz put me off a bit.
But I gave it a try and frankly it's the best of the best!
The size is perfect for almost any content.
The performance is top notch for games and having a 60Hz screen doesn't really feel like it.
Pokémon Unite, COD Mobile, PUBG, Wild Rift, TFT ... insane. The screen ratio is top notch. There's just a little black strip on the sides for now as the format isn't supported yet.
The camera is like an iphone 13, very good. In 4k video too.
The Apple Pencil 2 is monstrous, for drawing, correcting copies or PDFs. Taking notes ... the whole package.
(Not necessarily practical for navigation) But the Ipad format is so no worries. You can cover all the keyboard with an average hand in landscape mode.
The battery is OK. Not exceptional but will easily last 8 to 10 hours of continuous use.
Very good format for drone flying. (with DJI controller / Mavic Mini) (hence the must have cellular connection as the DJI app needs to be connected to the network to not be restricted)
In short, the best if you want a nomadic complement to your smartphone with a larger screen.
Be careful though, don't forget about the storage, 64 GB is not enough! Start with 256 GB. For example, an episode of a series in HD is 1.5 GB. A movie is 5 or 6 GB (netflix). A game like Call Of Duty is almost 13 GB.
The same goes for your mobile phone. Take it! You have many offers of multi sim services (2 sims, 1 package), some free in 5G for only 20€ / month. Turning on your iPad and being connected without worrying about the network is almost mandatory for this little device that will go everywhere with you.
Support for external peripherals, USB stick, mouse. Because it's USB-C!!! Thank you at last! However, NO 3.5mm jack. Voila :)
I've had 5 iPads since 2010, the last one was the 9.7 pro released in 2016, and I wasn't thinking of buying another one.
But having moved from the iPhone pro Max to the 13 pro, I thought it might be a good companion.
Frankly it's luxury, but super nice for reading, surfing and note taking thanks to the Apple Pencil 2 that s clipped to the side.
