Switch designed for AV over IP
The NETGEARM4250-12M2XF switch is designed for AV over IP. It features SFP+ ports on the rear panel to ensure seamless integration into AV racks. The M4250 switch is pre-configured for standard audio and video signals. For specific requirements, an AV user interface allows customisation with predefined profiles. Dante, Q-SYS and AES67 audio profiles are available, the AVB profile requires an AVB license sold separately. For video, the M4250 offers NVX, SVSI, Q-SYS, NDI, Dante, etc. as well as mixed audio/video/control profiles. When multiple switches are connected, NETGEAR IGMP Plus technology allows you to automate connections.
Full support for Audio Video Bridging
One of the many features of the new M4250 Series is full support for Audio Video Bridging (AVB), the standard for transporting content over the network. AVB is most often used where low latency is required, such as in live transmission where synchronisation is essential. All M4250 AV switches can be licensed to support AVB.

- Maximum noise level of 28.5dBA at 25ºC when all ports are used
- Pre-configured for IP-based audio and video output
- Dedicated graphical AV user interface for specific AV installations
- Colour AV profiles can be applied to individual ports
- Dante, Q-SYS, AES67 and AVB audio profiles
- Features include static routing, RIP and PIM, DHCP server and PTPv2
- AVB requires an AVB4212P-10000S license (sold separately)
- Layer 2 and 3 switching matrix on all M4250 models
- Audio / video / mixed profile control
- Automatic interconnection of swicthes with NETGEAR IGMP Plus technology
- Web-based graphical user interface, console, Telnet and SSH compatible with other NETGEAR M4xxx series switches
- NVX, SVSI, Q-SYS, NDI and Dante video profiles
