Overview

KC600 SSD with hardware auto-encryption and optimal speeds

Kingston' s KC600 512GB mSATA SSD dramatically improves the responsiveness of your current system with faster boot, load and transfer speeds than traditional hard drives. Powered by a Silicon Motion SM2259 controller, it offers read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s. It fully supports a full security suite (TCG Opal, AES 256 bit, eDrive).

More reliable and durable than a hard drive, the KC600 is built using only Flash components. With no moving parts, it is less prone to failure than a conventional hard drive. It is quieter and cooler, and more resistant to vibration and shock, making it ideal for laptops and other mobile computing systems.

Performance and security

Kingston's KC600 is an SSD that delivers excellent performance under full load. It is optimised to give your system impressive responsiveness with optimal boot, load and transfer speeds. It is available in both 2.5" and mSATA form factors. The KC600 SSD uses 3D TLC NAND and supports a full security suite with AES 256-bit hardware encryption, TCG Opal and eDrive. It boasts read/write speeds of up to 550/520MB/s to efficiently store your data up to 2TB.

    A new look for the laptop

    My laptop has been used almost daily for more than 7 years (Gigabyte P15Fv2, Core i5-4210M, 8GB RAM, 1GB HDD) and has been showing signs of slowness for more than a year when starting up large apps, games (although not very recent) or even when starting up an Internet browser with several saved tabs.
    Attempts to defrag and "clean" HDDs have done little to improve performance.
    One port was free on this PC to host an mSATA SSD (format in extinction...). I tried to invest in this SSD.

    After installing the SSD, initializing it, then cloning with Clonezilla the system partition on this SSD (only system, not data), the gain in speed is obvious, with a slight temperature gain to confirm.
    I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the SSD for the same purpose, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use the SSD for the same purpose, and I'm sure it's a good idea to use the SSD for the same purpose.
    => Clearly not disappointed

    mixed

    nothing to say about the product for now, I'll see with use, charging postage for a product of more than 80€ is a bit petty for a weight of 20gr, delivery time much too long
