The Tapo C310 is an HD Wi-Fi security camera that TP-LINK has designed specifically to monitor the outside of your home and its surroundings (garden, driveways, garage, shed, yard, etc.). It will allow you to capture all the details with a perfectly clear definition. Even at night, this camera can fulfil its surveillance mission over a maximum viewing distance of up to 30 m. It works in conjunction with the free Tapo app and has a motion detection function. It can therefore send you a notification if it detects anything suspicious. Designed with your safety in mind, it has a light and sound alarm that triggers sound and light effects to scare off unwanted visitors. Great value for money.
The app is very good too: user-friendly and full of tips (to be discovered over time, as it's very complicated).
Tapo Care (for a fee) isn't essential: a small SD card for a few euros and you're all set.
All you need is a good WiFi network (the TP Link mesh network also works well, although they're a bit optimistic about the range).
I'm delighted.
Commissioning couldn't be easier. The image is very good.
The application for using the cameras is pretty well thought out: simple, user-friendly, and rather cluttered when it comes to options.
You have to look a bit and try to understand everything (there are probably instructions on the Internet that I didn't look for), and many of the options are quite useful. A subscription is absolutely not essential, but it's better to have an SD card for each camera.
To sum up, if you want to install a few (up to 32, according to them!) cameras in your home to alert you or simply to watch when you're away, this is perfect. All you need is WiFi that works properly where you install them.
It does other things (tracking, alarms, etc.) but I don't use it.
I don't know if it's the best, but I'm very happy with it.

Installed outdoors, the image quality is good in both day and night mode.
My Nas (QNAP) recognises the storage of recordings without any problem, but event detection (via the nas) is not supported.
The application is well done. It allows you to manage the recordings stored on the SD card of the camera, the alerts, as well as to view remotely via smartphone the direct view or the recordings. Many settings are possible for alerts and presence detections but we regret a sensitivity much too high even on the lowest level. The result is a notification at the slightest cat or bird passing in the field of the camera. In night mode in rainy weather, the camera detects a presence all night. For this reason I have withdrawn the 5th star.
Very easy to install and configure, this camera works perfectly in both day and night mode.
