TheTascam DR-680MKII multitrack recorder is a portable, high-performance model that's perfect for whatever you want to do. Capture and save files in MP3, WAV or BWF format on an SD card and benefit from a complete set of connections to satisfy all your needs.
Professional equipment
The DR-680MKII offers six XLR/TRS jack inputs with phantom power and a digital input for added flexibility. It can be used for multi-track concert recording, surround sound recording, or film or event recording with multiple microphones simultaneously.
The ability to record up to four channels of MP3 files at 96, 128, 192 or 320 Kbps allows for efficient control of file sizes in situations requiring long recording times. Files can be either stereo or mono. In addition, the integrated Mid-Side decoder allows the use of MS format recording devices. Decoding is possible while recording or listening.
High quality design
This portable multitrack recorder features Tascam-designed HDDA microphone preamps implemented with carefully selected components. Each preamp is based on a differential amplifier circuit using discrete architecture, and all components have been selected for their audio quality.
The DR-680MKII has one coaxial digital input and output (S/PDIF and AES/EBU formats) and six unbalanced analogue line level outputs. By connecting these outputs to a mixer, this Tascam model can be used as a 6-track player. Finally, easily record to an SD card in MP3, WMA and BWF formats and enjoy compact dimensions and good vibration resistance.
