The ZyXEL GS1008HP non-administerable Gigabit Switch has 8 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports with PoE+ and a total power consumption of 60 Watts. The GS1008HP is fanless and has a compact design, making it ideal for use in a professional environment, either on a desk or on a wall.
The GS1008HP is IEEE-802.3at compliant, allowing it to power devices on the network up to 30 Watts per port. This feature allows existing networks to be extended and powers high-powered devices such as WiFi access points, IP cameras and IP phones. With a PoE budget of up to 60 Watts, the GS1008HP 5-port switch is ideal for SMBs and home users.
Simplified implementation
Zyxel offers two unmanaged switches, the GS1005HP and GS1008HP, with the GS100XHP range. The switch is operational as soon as it is switched on, so there is no need to go through long and tedious configuration steps. The fanless design of this switch makes it perfectly silent, so it can be placed on a desk or wall, and its compact metal design allows for many possibilities. It is ideal for small businesses and home users.
Optimised PoE management
The GS1005HP offers 4 Gigabit PoE+ ports while the GS1008HP has 8. With up to 30W available per port and a total budget of 60W, the Zyxel GS100XHP switches also feature an LED indicator that turns orange when the 50W threshold is reached. Support for the IEEE 802.3az standard allows the switch to adjust power consumption in relation to traffic to generate power savings. For example, if the power consumption exceeds the total PoE budget, the last connected device will be automatically disconnected, without impacting the other devices powered by the switch.
