So I had to go to Leroy Merlin to adapt the seat/rail attachment and lower the whole thing so that the seat was lower and had the desired position. This cost me an extra 10e, but it's now totally immersive. So beware of those like me who are tall and don't want to have to make modifications (it really took me 10 minutes to do it).
