This item works perfectly as long as you use it correctly.
This is the second one I've bought because it is so effective: much more than a fan tray!
It displays the temperature of the air passing through the device, which gives a good idea of the heat in the computer and allows you to adjust the speed yourself.
It is not very noisy.
It's sure that those who find that 3.5" HDDs are very noisy (lol) might not appreciate it, but otherwise it's perfectly acceptable.
Personally, I don't use the automatic mode which is insufficient: I put it at full speed, and I decrease the speed until it is almost silent (2400rpm!).
This allows me to go from 80° to about 60° when compiling cores!
In short, as promised, about 20° degrees gained!
Sometimes the fan has trouble starting, but it's very rare.
Often turning it off and on is enough to solve this problem.
Above all, make sure that the rubber is well connected to the chassis of your computer so that it works properly.
