    Very stable PLC + a tip

    (I'm reposting my comment which is on the 2 -> kit purchased with this one)
    As soon as it is installed, it is functional. The Devolo SAV responds without problem (I am still waiting for the response of other brands).
    For 1200 I am between 210 and 240 Mb/s in real in transmission / reception on a recent installation to the standards with an optical fibre 1 Gb/s real. The Ping is not influenced.
    I take off half a star because of the documentation which does not specify the role of the automatic compatibility mode. Here is my reason:
    - I was on VDSL at 40Mb/s. The kit automatically switches to VDSL auto-compatibility mode.
    - Then I switched to fibre. Lousy PLC throughput of around 30 Mb/s. Using the Devolo Cockpit software, you have to uncheck the automatic compatibility mode which was still in VDSL (and therefore not so automatic!) and this for each socket. Then everything goes back to normal and the speed immediately increases to more than 200Mb/s (restart the PLC with Cockpit). It's a pity they don't mention this in the documentation.

    Big disappointment, the devolo "Magic" are not compatible with the other Devolo PLC not "Magic" .....
    I read that they were compatible with all products certified by the "HomeGrid" standard, but I did not check that the other Devolo PLCs that I have (5 in all) were perhaps not certified "HomeGrid" .... I trusted Devolo who until then kept a compatibility between models (the 500 and 1200 between them for example ...)... too bad that it is not well explained in the description ....
    In short, I have to recommend a PLC "1200" not "Magic" .... grrr
    I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'm sure it is. ( reason for 5/10 instead of 1/10 )
