This has enabled the use of a more energy-efficient LED backlight, while still delivering the same brightness.


Designed for a wireless world

    Perfect machine if you value mobility and ease of use over power

    I gave this MacBook to my girlfriend to replace her 2010 MacBook Pro (which is still going strong, given to my daughter).

    She uses it to surf the web, check email, youtube and light office work.

    This device is really beautiful and very light. The unique connectivity is not a concern as it never connects any peripherals.

    However, it's a pity that there is no SD card reader anymore, so you need an adapter for that. But as we rarely import pictures from the camera this is not really a problem.

    All in all, this MacBook is a very good machine if you prefer mobility, user-friendliness and lightness.
