Perfect for my needs
For my fixed line, I used to have cordless phones (much more expensive than this one), but over time, the batteries degraded which limited the duration of my communications (a bit annoying towards the person I was talking to). I went back to the wired model to avoid programmed obsolescence and I also save (small) amounts of electricity (no connection to the mains: powered directly by the box's telephone socket). There is a default rj11 plug and an rj11 to T plug adapter is provided (not useful behind a box). The sound is clear, the ringtone adjustable. I didn't try to hang it vertically (for that, there is a small piece of plastic that you can detach at the back of the phone and you have to insert it in a notch at the front to hold the phone vertically: without this piece of plastic, it won't hold vertically).
