Very good RAM sticks, recognized without problems, they work perfectly. I bought them to get 16GB, and they work without any problems with the two other, but different branded, memory sticks. The access times are particularly low, which is a (slight) plus for games.
For the price it's a very good deal.
When I assembled my machine in 2011, I had gone for their bigger 2000 MHz sisters which were among the best value for money at that time. Their Low Profile (lower than normal RAM) is essential to add a heat sink to the processor. They have not disappointed me once since!
Unfortunately these are no longer available, so I went with the same 1600 MHz ones to increase the RAM from 8 to 16 GB. Once again not disappointed: very good quality and easy to fit in.
If you install different frequency chips, it is essential to tell the BIOS of your machine to use the lowest frequency for this to work!
Gamers at heart, going from 8GB to 16GB of RAM is really felt in recent games which start to recommend 8GB for optimal performance. Knowing that the Windows x64 OS consumes at least 2GB...
Corsair delivers another well-made product. These XMS3 8GB (2x 4GB) are very powerful. No problems with start-up or anything else.
The heat sinks, although very simple, play their role perfectly!
Mounted by 4 on an Asus motherboard the compatibility is optimal.
