Designed to allow the easy integration of a "slim" optical drive (such as a laptop drive/writer) into a compact PC case (Mini-ITX for example), the Akasa AK-CB050 Slimline Optical cable is equipped with a standard SATA connector (to connect to the motherboard), a Molex power connector and a monobloc Mini-SATA connector which combines the traditional SATA "power" and "data" connectors. As such, it represents an ideal solution for mounting "Slim" optical drives (DVD burner, Blu-ray player, etc.) or compatible 1.8" SSD hard drives in ultra-compact chassis.
