An incredible TV, a limited OS and an anecdotal sound bar

An incredible television, with stunning images enhanced by the ambilight. The 4K upscaling of 1080p sources is clean; I was worried about pixelation, but the TV makes up for it very well! Android TV is an asset, provided you appreciate the Google ecosystem. The anti-reflective coating is extremely effective; previously, the lights in my living room were reflected on my old TV, but on this one, the reflections are barely visible, which is very appreciable!

Android TV is a pleasant system to use, but when you're looking for customisation, you find yourself very limited and the ergonomics of the OS clearly leave a lot to be desired. Navigating the menus and adjusting the image is very complicated; most of the menus don't overlap with the video stream, so you have to keep going back and forth between the settings to see the result. It's difficult to compare before and after. You can quickly end up with a chaotic configuration by making blind adjustments.

The big drawback is the audio system: my old TV was fitted with an old Logitech 5.1 kit that was over 10 years old and connected via jack. There's no denying that it still provides better sound than the TV's built-in sound bar. Unfortunately, I'm not even talking about the bass, which is absent even though the TV has a subwoofer at the back. I would have preferred to do without it; it's a big failure for this partnership with Bowers & Wilkins.

        Excellent

A very good television with an impeccable picture, lacking a bit of bass. Bought a Play-fit subwoofer to complement it, which reduces the sound menu to just three choices when it's active.
