Being afraid of the software break between Windows and MacOS, I was reluctant, but after a month of use... Top notch!!! Even if the gaming part isn't top-notch, I keep my Windows almost exclusively for gaming, and even then... I've got my console, the audio and video quality is top-notch, the software is better than Windows, everything is automated and the hardware is more advanced than Windows computers. A MacBook can be expensive compared to a Windows PC, but the quality is there. I do everything on it, even my TV, I hardly ever turn it on any more because I prefer this computer to my TV, and the processing speed is off the scale. I've been learning something new every day since I started using this device. Performance is also top-notch, both on battery and mains power (up to 140W), whereas my Windows computer had less and the voltage had to be fixed. Apple always delivers quality.

My computer is brilliant as always
As a teacher, I needed a computer to build my lessons with ease and pleasure. This MacBook is the ideal tool. The keyboard feels great, the screen is easy to see and the weight makes it easy to carry around. The OS runs quickly and lets you do several things at once without wasting time.
I'd recommend it to people who need a tool for office work.
I had an old MacBook Pro from 2013 that took a long time to boot up and was slow to operate. Everything has changed with this M1 version, I hesitated to take the M2 chip but frankly the M1 chip is more than enough. The delivery is very fast, especially as I'm located in the dom, and I'm very satisfied with the product.

After almost a year of very intensive use, I've finally decided to write this review.
I'd been reluctant to switch to an Apple computer for several years (because of the price, the change from Windows to MacOS, the closure of the infrastructure), but I finally made up my mind after using a Microsoft Surface (which was very disappointing) for a year and a half. At the time, I used my laptop for lessons and, of course, on the move (I have a big fixed PC at home to play games, work more comfortably and use large software programs).
My God, I haven't regretted this purchase! It's quite simply the best laptop I've ever used. And I'm not exaggerating.
I've even gone so far as to do without my desktop PC for some of the big software programmes that the M1 runs without a hitch (video editing, heavy photo retouching with DxO).
The battery is indefatigable, the responsiveness is instantaneous and the comfort of use is unbeatable (the quality of the screen is very appreciable, especially in the evening).
I carry this PC absolutely everywhere without ever feeling its weight, I close it, open it at all costs and in a year of use I've never had the slightest problem (when a Surface at the same price was doing Blue Screens once a week at least).
In short, the price is high, perhaps too high. But given what the competition is offering for the same price, you won't find anything better (depending on your uses, of course).
I had a 13" Macbook Air from 2013. I can't tell you how delighted I was when I picked up this little Apple jewel. The colour (Gold) is just magnificent, more bronze than gold in fact.
In terms of finesse, elegance and power, it's a big step up. The Macbook makes no noise at all under intensive use.
I highly recommend this product.

The delivery went very well, even though the destination was French Polynesia.
For at least 30 years, I've trusted Asus with my computer equipment. But recently, one of the brand's not too shabby laptops decided to show its true colours: the heat pipe/fan circuit broke. Fortunately, the computer still works, but at the cost of unbearable noise pollution. The model is an NJ550, and it's no mean feat: i7, mobile GeForce, touchscreen, 15.6 inches.
To replace it, I decided to go for the first-generation MacBook Air M1 (with just 7 graphics cores) and I can tell you I don't regret it. This little computer is a real gem.
It has all the power of the M1 (minus 1 core) in a remarkably well-designed, ultra-light case. The backlit keys don't dazzle you in the slightest and make it easy to find your way around even after a night out. Opening the screen and manipulating it turns on the computer - it's so natural that you wonder why only Apple thought of it! Finally, let's talk about the screen: despite its small size (13.3 inches), it displays as many pixels as a 27-inch widescreen; yes, it displays 2540 x 1600 pixels, which is enormous. So there's plenty of room for everything from video editing to multi-window working.
But the best is yet to come: this M1 is incredibly powerful: its benchmarks are on a par with a third-generation Ryzen 5, and all this with virtually no power consumption. Yes, you can ask anything of this computer, and it will do it, without flinching. On battery or mains.
Finally, how could you not fall in love with a computer that makes no noise at all, since its power consumption is so low that there's no need for fans or mechanical parts to cool it down.

I received the computer very quickly and it is as described. I am very satisfied with my order from LCDC.
I'm impressed by the energy efficiency of this computer. I use it for Ionic development, Angular, Python, Django, etc... and I manage to run everything at the same time, without any performance or overheating problems (even though I live in Guadeloupe). The passive cooling does its job very well and the battery lasts all day. The M1 chip is a pure success.
However, we're disappointed that there are only 2 USB-C ports, one of which will be used for power. So get yourself a USB-C hub.
I put this rating because the package arrived correctly to my home, so I am very satisfied with the computer.

I bought it to play music and to use large composition software. it never seems to run out of steam and it's very quiet. it never gets hot despite the fact that there are no fans. the speakers are great for such a small object. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

I've just bought a 2017 macbook pro, and I can say that it has improved:I've just bought a macbook pro 2017 and I can say that it's a much better keyboard (the pavilion keyboard of the mbp 2017 was a disaster), the typing is much better than on this one-the Touch ID button (which is the same one for dyeing/lighting) which allows you to simply pass your finger over it to unlock almost anything and everything, even on any internet site, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do that, but I'm sure I'm going to be able to do it with a lot more battery life and a much better processor. On the 2017 macbook pro, the computer was slow with just a few tabs open, I couldn't play a 4k video without the computer getting 90c and losing 5e of battery life per minute, I can't play light games like league of legends in good conditions, now it's the other way around I can do all that without the mac blinking an eyelash, it's silent,Now the only flaw (which is not major but quite annoying) is the difference in speaker quality between this macbook air m1 and the MacBook pro 2017, the quality of the one in the mbp 2017 was far superior to this one which is really low/mid range, I was quite shocked by the difference in quality between the two.To conclude, this mba M1 is a very good laptop, and surely the best value for money, the only problem is the speakers which I think is the only black point

The tests and opinions on the internet do not lie, just the basic model of the Air ? which does not have a fan, unlike the Pro ? explodes my previous Intel Macbook Pro in terms of performance, and this on all tasks! The battery life is amazing and even on low to mid-range tasks, including some games, it hardly heats up at all (we're currently in the middle of summer in the southern hemisphere). The only downside would be the poor or non-existent compatibility with some programs, but this problem will tend to be resolved over time, and Rosetta 2 already does an excellent job of converting most of them. If you specifically use programs for business use, it would be best to find out if they are compatible with M1 macs before you buy. As a bonus, some iPhone/iPad apps can be used on the new macs!
