Does the job
Connected in USB 3.0 on a 10 year old laptop (RJ45 port out of order), recognized without concern under Win 10, the speeds are well present (116 Mb/s in copy from a NAS in Gigabit).

You plug it in, Windows recognises it and you can enjoy the joys of Ethernet (Gigabit speed). Not tried under Linux. The white colour (so Apple) stands out and avoids confusion with a USB key. There is an LED visible through the window. The mini USB cable (flat) that folds over the dongle is handy... but not too handy. If you have a laptop on a table, it's fine. If you have a laptop on your lap, on a duvet... or if you have a convertible in tablet mode (folded like a roof), it's less practical: the USB cable is not very flexible, and the dongle (and the Ethernet cable attached to it) pulls a bit on the USB connector... A dongle that plugs directly into the USB port might have been more practical. It's up to you to decide what you want to use it for!
Works properly and does the job.
The only problem is that you must not move the device, otherwise there are micro outages, making it difficult to obtain an address in DHCP, for example.
I have doubts about the durability of the small USB cable, for the moment it's fine but given the demands of installation and storage I'm not sure it's the best format for this object
I'm very pleased with this product, it's a great tool for me to use with my printer, as my small Lenovo computer has no rj45 output.
Thank you, everything is ALWAYS good at LDLC, especially the verbal contact for advice before an order 10/10.
Easy to use, just plug it in and go. The adapter does its job well. I took it for work so I didn't do a flow test,
The product looks pretty solid. The operating LED emits a diffuse white light, so not really annoying even at night.
The only drawback is the notch for the USB 3.0 plug, it is exactly the same size as the plug, too much so! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get the USB 3.0 plug in, but it's hard to get it out without forcing the cable, which could be a problem in the long run. I only put the mouthpiece halfway or not at all in the notch.
I was looking for an additional network card for my Raspberry Pi 4 that would provide sufficient throughput and this product does the job very well. The LED is quite inconspicuous, it took me three days to notice its existence.
Î? works, under Linux (LinuxMint 19.2), as under Windows 10 on my LDLC laptop without Ethernet port...
I didn't have the opportunity to see the 1Gbps since the laptop only has USB 2 ports...
On Linux, as on Windows, no need to install any driver, it's plug-and-play.
Seduced by the notes left for this product, I chose to let myself be guided to order this GNU-Linux compatible USB-Ethernel adapter.
I'm glad I did, for a first purchase of this kind, because this adapter works perfectly.
I have fiber, and I feel very little difference between my computer directly connected to ethernet, and the one in dual boot (Ubuntu and Win10), which, thanks to its USB 3.0 port, receives internet via the adapter. No need to install any program, it starts immediately!
The delivery was fast: I received the adapter after 2 days, and it is not prohibitively expensive.
I recommend it.
For those who are still looking for a GNU-Linux compatible USB-Ethernet adapter, look no further!
No installation required on Ubuntu 16.04. I plugged in the adapter, disconnected the RJ45 from the network card and connected it to the adapter, and sat back to find that everything was already working.
The hardware also looks good and the folding cable in its housing is well thought out.
I don't regret buying this network adapter, the setup was easy just connect to a usb socket and click on the program included on the adapter for the installation to take place.
Works perfectly on Windows 10.
