The headphones are attached to the headband by tiny, excessively fragile plastic parts. Before the first listening session, the headphones fell from a height of 80cm onto a thick wool carpet. One of these parts broke off. It is no longer possible to use the headphones. Absolutely not to be bought.
I think it's a shame that LDLC doesn't offer replacement foams for sale. Otherwise it's an excellent headset.
this is my second porta pro, the previous one had broken at an earphone wire.

I'm not going to tell you anything fancy: the bag provided is too small, and the original foams are flimsy. as a result, the headset can be uncomfortable if you stay in the firm position (3 positions, via the little blue button on each side) which is the default position.
-1 pt for these details.
This headset reveals itself with Yaxi foams (highly recommended) or the pads found on ebay.
For the rest, the low frequency response is just crazy, and the mid and high frequencies are not left out. really a great headset, which competes with great headphones at three times the price.
It's probably the most compact and lightest headset on the market, with or without the custom foam.
Nothing to say about the sound quality: it is very good for modern music. (with pronounced bass and treble)
It is not a monitoring headphone, you are warned before buying.
I can note 2 criticisms however:
- Impossibility to use the small case provided, it is much too small.
- I'm very pleased with the quality of this product, it's very good value for money and it's very good value for money.
Otherwise very satisfied, you can listen to everything, and for hours, and without any discomfort.
This headset has been around since the 80's! It is the best headset on the market for its lightness, its reliability, its musicality! It is the only headset I use daily for video & Hi-Fi...Irreplaceable!!!
I have had it for a month now, I use it to listen to music on public transport and to play FPS:
- To my taste the sound is not bad but it could be clearer if the bass was better.
- It is comfortable and the fact that it can reduce the pressure on the ears is well found and essential on long uses (more than 2 hours).
- It's a bit early to say how durable it is but it doesn't seem too fragile!

the audio quality is high for the price range but the folding system for transport is not practical and the shape it has makes it fragile and exposed to breakage in a computer bag
It's a small, light headphone with the same shape as the Walkmans from the 80's but the comparison stops there, here the dynamics are well present: bass is well present, medium is right, not shrill, treble is right, a little behind I think, you'll have to spend at least triple to have at least the equivalent on another brand.
I've already returned half a dozen headphones that didn't suit me as well at LDLC as elsewhere, much more expensive than this one but I'm keeping it!
If you can't stand headphones that heat up your ears or earpieces that don't fit, then this is the headphone for you. Nice design, practical, light and a very good sound that is worth much more expensive headphones, a must for almost 30 years.
I have been using these headphones for several years now. It is a semi-enclosed stereo headset, which means that it does not completely isolate from the outside world. Which, for me, is important. The sound quality is very good for this price. The sound is not neutral at all, it even makes a lot of bass, but the sound that comes out is good despite that.
As for its reliability/sturdiness, as mentioned above, I have been using it for several years and only the headphone pads are a bit tired. I had to buy headphones for my children. After comparison, I chose this headset. Why did I choose these headphones? Simply because they are cheap, solid and, despite the "little bump" in the bass, the sound is good.
