Perfectly fits an Asuspro B551LA or B551LG. The outer plastic part of the DVD player fits perfectly on it. Be careful how this little plastic part is clipped on to avoid breaking a clip when disassembling.
A great alternative for adding a hard drive to a PC without a second port.
Easy to install, simplicity in the product itself. The only small drawback (but related to the PC itself rather than to the product) is that it leaves a gap of about 1 cm from the edges of the PC, but this does not prevent it from working properly.
However, remember to buy a cord so that you can use the DVD player afterwards without having to dismantle everything!
The construction is very basic but sturdy with an indicator light that proves the device is working.
It fits well in a Lenovo ideapad PC with an original LDC SSD or SHD. The access time to the disk is normal.

I've put the SSD in place of the HDD and put the HDD in the caddy. I need a firm piece of foam to lock it in place (no screws on this model)

remove a square from the DVD
file the plastic of the caddy to fit the square
reassemble the caddy --> it sticks
remove the 50 screws from the laptop to access the motherboard
to see where it sticks
realize that in fact there was a free slot for another disk
file to adapt and glue the front of the dvd on the caddy
this experience allowed me to dismantle and dust my laptop something I had never dared to do.

Specific instructions for the laptop model given when ordering: PERFECT! (I found the trick to remove the original DVD drive, I could not!)
I found it very easy to dismantle the burner thanks to the manual provided and to place the cradle in one minute... A piece of cake!
The front panel with its LED is a bit recessed compared to the engraver but no worries!
I regret not having done it much earlier and I highly recommend this accessory for those who want to keep their original hard drive and don't need the original DVD drive/writer!

I was disappointed by this product... the problem comes from the compatibility with the front panel of the computer. I was obliged to modify the ICY BOX to be able to put the front panel on. I have to modify the ICY BOX to be able to put the front panel on.
I bought it to put an SSD in my laptop and it works very well. The detachable front is very convenient to be able to put the original part and not disfigure the computer.
I have to say that I'm not happy with this product because it's not a good idea to use it with the original part.
I have received the product and it is very easy to assemble and follow the instructions. The product is very good and the delivery was fast and easy. I am satisfied because now I have 500 GB more in my ASUS in addition to my SSD to run Windows 10 and it is perfect.

This slim version is perfect for thin laptops.
It is very easy to install (all screws are included) and works perfectly.
It's just a shame it doesn't come with a box to externalise the CD drive like its large counterpart.
I've got all the screws I need, easy to install, fast delivery and on my asusx751 the DVD cover fits perfectly, so I have to keep writing to get at least 200 characters to validate my comment...
It's a great product.
With this ICY BOX I ordered an SSD hard drive to make my computer more powerful.
So I put the SSD in place of my current platter hard drive and mounted the platter in the ICY BOX.
The installation of the hard drive in the ICY BOX was very fast, less than 5 minutes.
However, to put the ICY BOX in the place of the DVD drive I had to search a bit because the box is smaller than the drive and therefore does not take up the whole width. I can't fix it with the rod because of this difference.
The other problem is that I can't mount the DVD player cover on the ICY BOX because the fixing tabs don't fall in the same place. I have a small hole on the side.
I have to admit that I was a bit worried about the transfer speed, but it's not the case at all. The transfer rates are correct and are identical to the original SATA port.
