Used on a very old Dell with only one PCIe bus already occupied and two regular PCIs. Works perfectly, easy to install drivers with the supplied CD. Didn't do any throughput tests but provides sufficient throughput including streamling.
Having a MSI G41M-P33 combo motherboard, intel core Q6600 cpu, 8Gb ram, nvidia Geforce GT620 GPU,
I needed to upgrade the network card to exceed the 100Mb/s of the motherboard.
I am running Ubuntu 20.04, I installed this network card on the last PCI slot, the one at the bottom, because the graphics card takes up space. The card is taken into account immediately, no drivers to install.
Works fine, though...
I was expecting 1Gb/s, I'm running around 250 to 300 Mb/s download. (cat 5e cable)
I have subscribed to an orange offer 2Gb/s shared down and 600 Mb/s up.
I tested my fibre line with a MSI GL65 Leopard Laptop, cpu I7 10750H, ram DDR4 2666Mhz, RTX2070, SSD M2 of my son

Frankly, the other reviews match. The card is very simple, (no driver at my place). The only thing that surprised me was the "PCI" slot. Indeed I don't know who is wrong, but on my motherboard (15 years old), it says PCI but it's not the same brochure as the card. So I had to plug the card more on the left, but it works fine!
It works without drivers on an Ubuntu server with a machine dating from 2003.
Card installed on an old PC (sempron, win XP), it was recognized without any problem.
The card works with up 'n' down speeds which are quite correct for a machine intended for NAS document and network printing.
Small card plugged in and recognized without problem under ArchLinux with XFCE desktop. Connected to fibre, the card is fully expressed. The card is flat and can be easily slid underneath a large gamer graphics card with fans.
I don't regret my purchase, the card corresponds well to the expectation except at the level of the flow which is similar to that which I had before in ethernet on the CM but it is much more reliable I have less rise of ping in game and I had a problem before or my pc connected to the network 10-15 minutes after the starting which is solved
Unfortunately, this network card model is getting a bit old. In addition to not being compatible with Windows 8 and above, it is not supported under ESXi 6.0 either, even when cheating with external drivers.
On the other hand, under XP or Linux, on old motherboards it will do its job very well.
Installed on an old PC that didn't have a Gigabit network card, it works like a charm :-) I didn't note the precise speed but it is incomparably higher than before. The network speed was becoming almost prohibitive during some transfers to my NAS, so my PC will be able to last a bit longer ;-)
