Apple Intelligence : Available in beta on all Mac models with M1 chip and later, with Siri and device language set to English (United States), as part of a macOS Sequoia update. Support for English (South Africa, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom) coming in December 2024. Additional features and languages will be available over the course of next year, including German, English (India, Singapore), Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese.
Display : Screen size is measured diagonally. The actual screen size of the 24-inch iMac is 23.5 inches diagonally. The display on MacBook Air with M1 chip and on 13-inch MacBook Pro measures 13.3 inches diagonally. The displays on 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 or M3 chip, on 15-inch MacBook Air, and on 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro have rounded corners at the top. When measured as a rectangle, these displays are 13.6 inches, 15.3 inches, 14.2 inches, and 16.2 inches diagonally respectively (the actual viewable area is smaller).

Up to 6x faster than the most popular Intel-based iMac (iMac 21.5-inch, 2019) : Testing conducted by Apple in September and October 2024 using preproduction 24-inch iMac systems with Apple M4 chip, 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and 16GB of RAM, as well as production 21.5-inch iMac systems with 6-core Intel Core i5 processor at 3GHz, Radeon Pro 560X graphics with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, and 8GB of RAM, all configured with 256GB SSD. Tested with the Super Resolution tool using Photomator 3.3.23 and a 4.4MB image. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of iMac.
Up to 2.1x faster than iMac with M1 chip (iMac 24-inch, 2021) for demanding creative workflows : Testing conducted by Apple in September and October 2024 using preproduction 24-inch iMac systems with Apple M4 chip, 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD, and production 24-inch iMac systems with Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. Adobe Photoshop 2024 v25.11.0 tested using the following features and filters: Sharpen, Edge Trace, Blur, Diffuse, and Content-Aware Scale. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of iMac.
Mac and iPhone : Requires iCloud account and internet connection. iPhone Mirroring is available on Mac computers with Apple chip and Intel-based Mac computers with T2 Security chip. Requires that your iPhone and Mac are signed in with the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication, are near each other, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on, and your Mac is not using AirPlay or Sidecar. Some iPhone features, including camera and microphone features, are not compatible with iPhone Mirroring.
Wi‑Fi 6E : Wi-Fi 6E available in countries and regions where supported.
Up to 70% faster for everyday tasks (compared with 24-inch iMac, 2021) : Testing conducted by Apple in September and October 2024 using preproduction 24-inch iMac systems with Apple M4 chip, 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD, and production 24-inch iMac systems with Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.
