The best of entertainment
With its 4K Ultra HD resolution, the BenQ W5850 DLP projector promises an intense and immersive spectacle! Enjoy a resolution four times higher than Full HD and appreciate a detailed and precise image.
This model includes a Filmmaker mode that preserves motion smoothness, cinematic colors, dynamic range and brightness as envisioned by filmmakers for the big screen. This BenQ projector is designed to meet filmmakers' expectations.
The state-of-the-art LCE algorithm ("Local Contrast Enhancer" or local contrast enhancement) divides images into more than 1,000 zones, analyzes the brightness of each segment and adjusts the gamma of each zone separately for better definition of dark and bright details, and greater image depth.
Incredible intensity
Enjoy all the emotion of your Ultra HD content with HDR-PRO technology. The new HDR10+ technology adds dynamic metadata to HDR10 source files, making it possible to adjust and optimize each HDR video frame and improve details in both bright and dark areas of the content. This projector with HDR-PRO technology will ensure excellent brightness, superior contrast, as well as better image optimization.
To give you the feeling of being at the cinema, the W5850 integrates Dynamic Black, which analyzes the brightness level of each scene to optimize emitted light and contrast. You will also be able to see every detail, even in the darkest parts, thanks to a balance between saturation and rich colors.
Realistic colors
The BenQ W5850 Home Cinema projector covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and Rec.709 color spaces, ensuring color accuracy and perfectly reproducing the directors' vision.
Installing this projector in your living room will be child’s play thanks to its short throw, the presence of Vertical Lens Shift, powerful 1.6x zoom and automatic vertical keystone correction. The BenQ W5850 also offers comprehensive connectivity with 2 HDMI 2.0b ports and 1 USB 2.0 port for displaying content from a USB flash drive or external hard drive with ease.
The W5850 is ISFccc certified. Well known, ISFccc calibration makes it possible to customize image and color performance for each space, and offers preset day/night light balancing modes.
Complete experience with quiet operation
Although the image is important, sound also plays a leading role. This BenQ projector provides you with a SPDIF port and an port eARC for 7.1-channel audio and Dolby Atmos passthrough, sending original full-resolution audio signals to your audio system via a single HDMI cable.
The W5850 is equipped with a quiet multi-channel cooling system that effectively reduces ambient noise to a range of just 27 to 30 dB. Tilted toward the rear, the elegantly patterned lens ring prevents stray light and eliminates light leakage from the optical engine. The vertical ventilation grilles remove dust from the cooling system.
