The perfect balance between power and fidelity
Thanks to its three-stage "Inverted Darlington Amplifier " architecture, theOnkyo A-50 delivers powerful power with minimal distortion, for sound as clear and faithful as the artists intended. The patented DIDR C technology (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry) used in this Onkyo A-50 amplifier delivers a sound that's lively, fluid and pleasant, whatever the music source. This DIDRC technology takes the form of a discrete signal control circuit, developed to make digital sources such as CDs and music streaming services sound as natural as vinyl records. This technology has now been perfected even further.
By combining a fanless design (which eliminates noise), a high-end stereo DAC (32-bit / 768 kHz) that reduces distortion and an extruded aluminium heatsink to suppress vibration, this amplifier lays a solid foundation for superior sound reproduction.

The enclosure of theIcon A-50 features a 5mm thick extruded aluminium front panel that enhances rigidity and suppresses unwanted vibrations. The 'oval chassis' with oval pressing lines reinforces the bottom surface and disperses vibrations, improving sound quality. TheIcon A-50 is also equipped with exclusive 10,000 μF capacitors, a copper bar and rigid front panels. These elements complete the arsenal to further limit signal degradation.
Easily connect your sources thanks to comprehensive connectivity: 3 RCA inputs, HDMI ARC, phono MM/MC, coaxial, USB-A, optical and headphone output. Whether it's your turntable, your CD player or your streaming services, theA-50 adapts to all your musical desires.
BecauseOnkyo is for high-tech enthusiasts, theA-50 is equipped with the Dirac Live Room Correction Stereo suite. This technology analyses your room and adapts the sound reproduction to correct its acoustic defects.
