    Bad luck?

A good card, well designed, clear, very complete... There's a but... the first card fitted refused to update its bios, so it was changed. The second card updated itself, but very quickly malfunctioned, refusing to shut down (so shutting down by prolonged pressing) and putting poor Windows, for once responsible for nothing, in a mess when rebooting. Changed the card again under warranty and this time it seems to have been the right one...changed the memory in expo 1 to 6000, as the default is 4800, and it's been working ever since...heavy 4K video editing in progress and it's going great with av1 encoding, no problem at all, I hope it lasts!..! (9900x, 32 go ram 6000, gainward 5060, 2 SSD so one in pcie 5.0)

    Very good

    Product arrived quickly.

Very pretty visually, full of cables, easy to assemble. And at the time of launching the PC no problem. The new bios is great and works better and the gigabyte control panel/fan control is top notch!

    Big disappointment

    I used this motherboard in a setup for a Ryzen 7 9800x3d
I previously had a setup based on an I9 11900KF

Hardware installation is relatively easy and straightforward.
First boot: In the 30 years I've been putting my PCs together, this is the first one that doesn't boot on the first try:
Gigabyte thought it was clever to have to use the DDR_A2 and B2 slots first, before the A1 and B1.

The error codes on the motherboard are a good idea, but the blocking codes are marked reserved in the manufacturer's documentation... Very practical!

Soft / Drivers installation: A Gigabyte utility jumps out at us as soon as Windows starts up.
It installs the drivers. All of them... no... USB4 and Wifi 7 are not installed.

That's why I went looking for the ASMedia driver from Asus for USB4, because Gigabyte doesn't have it for Windows 10.
USB 4 is now detected in the Windows Device Manager.

Here's the link for those interested: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/workstation/pro-ws-wrx90e-sage-se/helpdesk_download?model2Name=Pro-WS-WRX90E-SAGE-SE

WARNING: Remember to update the BIOS on your cards when you arrive.

The highlight of the show: the Quest 3 throughput test.
With my old setup I got 2.7 Gbs throughput.
On this card, on the USB4 ports (usb c) with the same cable: barely 1.7 Gbs.

    Run away from this motherboard!
