High-performance Atmos riser speakers designed without compromise

The Ariane A models areAtmos loudspeakers for mounting on a floorstanding speaker from the Ariane range (5 or 7). Their steep angle will direct the sound towards the ceiling, which will then rebroadcast it towards the floor. In short, these speakers are designed to reproduce the vertical dimension of immersive multichannel formats.

For these superb Ariane A loudspeakers, all the technical and aesthetic hallmarks of the Ariane range have been retained, namely the all-new tweeter with paper cone and foam suspension with a core of high-density polystyrene.The Ariane A speakers retain all the technical and aesthetic hallmarks of the Ariane range, including the all-new paper dome tweeter and foam suspension with 20 mm core, the 13 cm fibreglass woofer/midrange, the impeccable finish and a rounded cover with lightly mottled fabric.

These Ariane A speakers should be configured in "small" mode from the amplifier (low cut-off at 80 Hz), for good power handling. These compact, easy-to-power loudspeakers boast an open soundstage and sufficient output to be combined with all your hi-fi equipment.

The Davis laboratory has worked to obtain a very linear output curve, to avoid emphasising one part of the frequencies to the benefit of another. This ensures long hours of listening without hearing fatigue. The speakers are offered with a rear mounting system that also allows the product to be placed against a wall, in "classic" surround mode.

    Finally Real Atmos Height Effects With Davis Acoustics Ariane A

    Upgraded my front height Atmos from Heco Victa 202 to Davis Acoustics Ariane A as part of a full Ariane system change. The result was immediate: Atmos finally sounds like it comes from above, and the overall sound field is far more cohesive. I was also impressed by the included wall-mount hardware. It is not clearly documented online or in the manual, yet it is simple, robust, and includes everything needed, more convenient than many competitors. Nice extra: self-adhesive rubber pads for placing the speakers on top of the fronts for an up-firing ceiling setup. Strongly recommended for real height effects.
