After the Wii and Wii U, Nintendo is continuing to transform the way you play video games with Nintendo Switch v2. The Switch will allow you to play wherever you want, whenever you want and with whomever you want. Powered by an ARM Cortex-A57 processor and a Tegra X1 graphics chipset, this console will make your gaming experience even more dynamic and totally interactive. What's more, unlike the first version, this second version has much longer battery life and a brighter, higher-contrast screen.
You'll be able to start a game from the comfort of your sofa and finish it on the bus or at a friend's house. And how do you do that? Quite simply because the Switch connects to a TV, but can also be instantly transformed into a portable console with a 6.2-inch screen.
A revolutionary controller
The Nintendo Switch v2 has two controllers (Joy-Con) on each side of the console that work in harmony. This opens the way to new forms of gameplay that were previously unfeasible. Whether you're in front of your TV, or at a party with friends, you can detach the Joy-Con from its stand at any time to turn it into a controller in its own right. Handy when you want to take on a friend or play cooperatively with them.
What's more, not only can you hold it vertically or horizontally to play, but you can also use the wrist straps supplied to take advantage of the Joy-Con's gyroscope in complete safety. The vibration function incorporated into the Joy-Con provides an immersive gaming experience that images and sound alone cannot reproduce.
A portable home console
With Nintendo Switch v2, you no longer need to adapt your daily life to be able to play - your console now adapts to your lifestyle. Make the most of your gaming experience wherever, whenever and with whomever you like, thanks to flexible game modes. There are three game modes to choose from:
- TV mode: simply connect the console to a TV so you can play with your family or friends
- Tabletop mode: use the built-in stand to hold the console and play against your friends on the console screen
- Portable mode: continue your games on the bus or train, enjoying the same gameplay experience as on a TV set
Play with your home console anywhere
Featuring a large 6.2-inch touch screen with HD 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, Nintendo Switch v2 will quickly become the ideal companion on your travels. To use it in portable mode, simply remove it from the docking station and attach the Joy-Con, so you can continue playing without interruption. In terms of battery life, Nintendo Switch v2 offers up to 9 hours' battery life (compared with 6.5 hours on the first version), depending on the game and conditions of use.
Nintendo Switch v2 also gives you the option of synchronising up to 8 consoles to take on your friends via local wireless gaming mode.
