PoE+ Switch designed for AV over IP
The NETGEARM4250-40G8XF-PoE+ switch is designed for AV over IP. It features PoE+ ports on the rear panel to ensure seamless integration into AV racks. The M4250 switch is pre-configured for standard audio and video signals. Where specific requirements exist, an AV user interface allows customisation with pre-defined profiles. Dante, Q-SYS and AES67 audio profiles are available, the AVB profile requires an AVB license sold separately. For video, the M4250 offers NVX, SVSI, Q-SYS, NDI, Dante, etc. as well as mixed audio/video/control profiles. When multiple switches are connected, NETGEAR IGMP Plus technology allows you to automate connections.
Full support for Audio Video Bridging
One of the many features of the new M4250 Series is full support for Audio Video Bridging (AVB), the standard for transporting content over the network. AVB is most often used where low latency is required, such as in live transmission where synchronisation is essential. All M4250 AV switches can be licensed to support AVB.
