Orbit is the best-selling hands-free omni-directional reader that provides an innovative, stylish and affordable solution for retail applications where counter space is limited. Compact, lightweight and rugged, the Orbit maximises customer satisfaction and staff efficiency with a patented 20-line reading system, an easy-to-find marker and a reading speed of 1120 lines per second. The reader's extensive ability to update firmware via Honeywell's patented configuration software, MetroSet 2 (provided free of charge), preserves long-term infrastructure investments in the event of system or POS software changes. The award-winning Orbit offers perfect ergonomics for bulky items. For added flexibility, the scanning head can be tilted up to 30° to suit the size and shape of items. This reader comes standard with replaceable cables as well as Honeywell's patented MetroSelect and MetroSet 2 software for easy configuration, data editing and compatibility with OPOS/JPOS systems.
