Used as a projector for watching movies in a camper van, it does its job very well with a small screen "Oray MiniScreen MIN01B1064081". It is placed on a table about 80 cm from the screen.
The video files are provided by a laptop.
The only small flaw is that it is not ultra quiet, but the noise is only heard in the silences of the films.
First projector, I dug a bit to find a compromise between movies and video games with the site passionhomecinema.fr mainly. I was looking for a model that would be presentable in a living room. The finish is good, the rear magnetic panel is more for mobile use than fixed but I wanted one that could do both.
The image is quite nice although it lacks a bit of contrast (beware I am projecting on a white wall). I can hardly tell the difference between 4k and 2k content. After that it's still a fake 4k, it's more like 3k with that wobble.
The sound of the Harman Kardon part is, I find, rather mediocre for the cinema but it's pretty good when you move for games.
I was a bit apprehensive about the input lag in games. With 66ms measured in 4k on PHC.fr, I wonder if in 1080 60Hz it would be even lower. I have trouble feeling the effects well but I only play relatively quiet games. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. I've also tried Rocket League and it's ok, I expected worse. I'm not sure about the nervous FPS's that I've tried, it could be different.
I'm not sure how to use the projector. There are hardly any buttons on the box, which makes you very dependent on the remote control which is even worse. I'm not the only one to have noticed this, there is a big problem with the responsiveness of the system with the remote control supplied. I have tried different batteries, I have removed the IR covers as soon as it would be better and nothing. It's very random in its behaviour which is very annoying. The only advice I can give is to aim at where the IR sensors are pointing.
It is better to forget to use the Android embedded with VLC (recovered a little difficult). The app store included (apptoid) is almost empty except for some Asian apps (which I can't read...)
And the noise, I expected better... still too present even in eco mode.
Very good quality product, it smells of noble materials.
The wifi module and the few applications installed allow it to be used as a connected TV.
Installed on the ceiling, it can easily replace a 4K screen in a living room.
With a brilliant short focal length, it allows you to obtain a screen with a diagonal of more than 3m with little distance to go.
