A wireless imager for everyday use

The LI4278 breathes new life into 1D barcode scanning by enabling your employees to read faster and from further away. Your staff can capture almost any 1D barcode - including traditional barcodes printed on paper labels, electronic barcodes displayed on a mobile phone, tablet or computer screen that allow retailers to easily process loyalty cards, mobile coupons and more, and high density (HD) barcodes commonly used in electronics manufacturing. 100% UPC barcodes can be captured from a distance of a few millimetres to over 75cm, while 200% UPC barcodes can be read from a distance of 140cm. Because barcodes can be captured at extreme angles, reading is unparalleled simplicity. Your staff will spend less time handling the reader and more time on their jobs. In addition, an optional stand with a presentation mode allows the reader to be used in handheld or hands-free mode.



Wireless freedom


With Bluetooth, operators are no longer hindered by cables and can scan items inside and outside the store. In addition, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR provides enhanced encryption for security, wireless connectivity performance and power management to power the device for a full day and facilitate pairing with host equipment.

A single circuit board (patent pending) improves reliability by eliminating interconnects. Superior battery life management provides an unmatched number of reads per charge, facilitating read-intensive applications. The reader can be used in dusty and humid environments. The read line remains visible outdoors in direct sunlight and indoors in low light conditions. The reader can withstand being dropped on concrete. Finally, both cradles are designed to withstand over 250,000 insertions.
