The resolution of the screen connected with this adapter is limited to 1280x800, which is lower than the resolution of this screen, and this is not mentioned in the product description, as far as I can see.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to make sure it's compatible with an old 2006 mac pro monitor. I'm happy with it.
