Cisco 10GBASE SFP+ Class S modules enable a variety of 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections and are optimised for enterprise and data centre applications. Class S interfaces are available in the equipment most commonly found in these areas, so please refer to the compatibility matrix to ensure you have compatible equipment.
Cisco SFP-10G-SR-S module
The Cisco 10GBASE-SR module provides a link of at least 26 metres over a multimode fibre(MMF) FDDI (Fiber Distributed Data Interface). Using 2000 MHz MMF (OM3) modulation links of up to 300 metres are possible, and up to 400 metres using 4700 MHz MMF (OM4) modulation.
