Having taken out insurance for my odyssey g7 32 I wanted to have peace of mind and not have to say to myself, "do I have a dead pixel out of the box" I take it out every time to be safe
I bought an LG 34GN850-B. When I unpacked it, it was in perfect condition. However, after two weeks, a red pixel got stuck almost in the middle of the screen. I sent it back. Thanks to the guarantee, LDLC gave me the choice between having the same monitor delivered to me or giving me a credit note for the value of the order to order another one.
This guarantee is great.
After the disappointment of having received my monitor with dead pixels and the guarantee that I would be reimbursed for the shipping costs, I learn that this is not the case.
They will be returned to me in vouchers!
I don't congratulate LDLC on this one.
To get my money back, I have to buy again! In addition there is a validity period !!!
I now wonder what the 0 dead pixels guarantee and the comfort pack that I took in addition (more than 120 euros HT) are for
All I had to do was to withdraw and I would have "lost" only the transport costs! (111 euros - From Reunion Island)
After I delightedly unpacked my new 49-inch Samsung monitor, I immediately noticed that there were some dead pixels.
This rarely happens on this kind of high-end product...
This time, it's the fault of bad luck.
A quick phone call to activate the warranty, and I had my protocol back less than an hour later.
Being in Reunion Island, I had to send it at my own expense, which will be reimbursed to me in the end.
For a 1000 euros monitor, I sincerely think that it is worth it.
I am waiting for my new monitor, having authorised LDLC to check it before sending it.
I've been waiting for my new monitor to arrive and I'm very pleased with the response.
I expected no less.
Thank you
I bought an Acer Predator 27" G-SYNC screen and took out this guarantee. I find it quite expensive, but considering the price of this type of screen, I don't find it useless for the first few months. And considering the large number of returns from all brands, for dead pixels and other reasons, my screen works perfectly.
Here I took this guarantee to put all the chances on my side...
I've just returned an Asus Mg278q screen bought on special offer on a competitor's website (I'll say it again) which arrived in a sorry state and made a big mess when it was returned!
After a long search for another brand of screen because I was very disappointed with Asus even if the ports were surely for something!
I settled on an Acer Predator Xb271huabmiprz and as I have done many times before!
I trusted Ldlc with this purchase and took this warranty to make sure I never go through this again!!!
Ps: I didn't have to use the warranty as my screen arrived perfectly and with 0 dead pixels for the moment!
The plus
All that this guarantee offers you with the seriousness Ldlc in more !!!!!!!!!!!!
The minus
Its price
My advice for Ldlc
That if you don't use the guarantee after 3 months ... It would be nice to have a little gift voucher in return, wouldn't it?
I took this option, on a screen costing almost 800€ (Acer 27" LED - Predator XB271HUbmiprz). Option that I find a bit expensive, considering the probability of dead pixels.
That said, given the manufacturer's guarantees, it's still worth it.
I haven't had to use it yet. However, I don't think we should regret taking it because like all insurance policies, when we pay for nothing it annoys us but when we need it we are glad to have it. All the same, the price remains high, especially for only three months. But not having found clear information about Acer's guarantees concerning dead pixels, I preferred not to run the risk with a screen at 875.00 (Acer 35" LED - Predator XZ35)
I took this guarantee for my new 34 inch screen. However, 100€ seems a bit expensive, especially in addition to the manufacturer's warranty which is normally two years. It's a good idea to have some peace of mind during the first few weeks of use.
