The performance of the M5 is there, the screen is superb and the battery life more than meets what you expect from a pro laptop. The price remains high, but Apple longevity and the 24 Go of RAM justify the investment over time — far more cost-effective than a Windows replacement every 3 years.

I mainly use it to compile on virtual machines, with Gentoo Linux. It's smooth and fast. I prefer to compare it to my AMD 5950X (32 logical cores), which is a desktop computer.
