I bought this equipment because it was supposed to scan up to A3. It prints A3, but scans A4. As I already have an A4 scanner, I don't need it.
Specification error. LDLC should have offered to take it back, instead of trying to tell me that it doesn't completely meet my expectations. It doesn't meet my expectations at all.
Good product. A little time consuming to put into operation, but operational. -----------------------------------------
An excellent multifunctional printer:
- Excellent printing at all sizes, good colour balance and remarkable definition. Very good rendering in B/W (in A3 Epson paper, matte or glossy the gray levels are amazing). The quality of the Epson "Claria" ink cartridges is also very good!
- Basic scanner, but a good definition and a scanning rather faithful to the original colours. The software is a bit basic. Not many options.
- The printing of the CDs is also good.
I only give it 9/10 because of the software which is a bit "convoluted", but once you understand it, you won't regret your purchase.
I still recommend it because the quality is really good!
I don't give it 5 stars, just for the software provided, especially the Epson scan which is a horror to handle. The old version I had on my XP860 was much more intuitive and much easier to set up: choice of output file (pdf, jpg etc..), choice of file name, choice of folder name etc.!
I'm not sure what to do with it, but it's a pity because the print output with original ink cartridges and Epson paper is excellent. Also (what made me change) the printing in A3 format. Really beautiful prints!
I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the service. The product was as ordered and the relay point was competent and helpful.
Replacing an XP 850 which was tired. The plus is the ability to print A3 photos and the quality of the print, the minus is the PC screen of the scanning software which doesn't have as many functions as the old one, I'll see later if I can come back to the old one if it works or not, but I must admit that it's a bit of a pain to rename the files and put them directly in defined folders.
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use it again, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use it again. I don't like it at all!
