I use it for many professional and personal projects. I've always been very happy with the performance.
After several months of testing, the Raspberry Pi 4 is good quality overall. You can do some amazing things with it, and I'm using it as a little retro games console.
I'll be buying more for other projects.
I can quietly test different projects, really nice! A good hobby for E-tinkerers!
This raspberry 4B 4go is perfectly suitable for a classic use like internet, office automation, online music and messaging and qq small 3D games; ( all at the same time!)
It's quite incredible considering the small size of the object but it's true.
The firmware is constantly updated via the internet, which guarantees a permanent update of the card.
The only -small- problem is the heat generated, which is a bit high.
To solve this problem, the use of a fairly open case and the addition of aluminium or copper coolers is perfectly suitable.
I made it a PC for my workshop, mainly to access the internet and my photos. The performance level is amazing, even with a 22" screen. However, it is imperative to mount it in a case with cooling. I installed it in an ICY BOX without a fan and I have no problems with overheating.
This is my first Raspberry and I am delighted. I'm using it as a little backup computer for office work and internet browsing.
Ordered to replace my old Raspberry PI 1 which was running out of steam.
No problems directly related to the Raspberry. However, the use of a microSD card caused me a problem: badly inserted in the raspberry's slot, it slipped out of my hands and went inside the case..... I had to dismantle everything to recover it.
As far as performance is concerned, I didn't test the dual screen, nor the 4K, but the 1980p videos and the Linux desktops have an excellent rendering.
The 2GB is enough to run everything (raspbian and KODI). The performance of the 4 core processor is much better than my old PI1 (1 core), it's night and day.
I use POE with a splitter (not the HAT POE) and no problem.
I'm not sure if it's easy to implement, but it really lacks a real switch to cut/restore the power, or at least a reset.
Indeed, when you shut down the system (recommended to avoid corrupting the SD card by an electrical shutdown), there is no other way to restart it than to unplug/plug the power supply (which is not good for the connector, in the long run).
