I received the device and tested it 30 seconds later. The M2 SSD was not recognized and the component overheated to the point of burning when I unplugged it.
I contact LDLC after sales service for a refund immediately
Nothing special to say. This tool does exactly what it is designed to do. Indispensable for working on an M2 hard drive when you don't have a m2 port. It plugs into the SATA and that's it. I don't know if I would dare to use this gadget in real working conditions. I'll have to see in the long run if it does the job.
Easy to use, multi-format for M2 cards (different lengths). This adapter is very useful for "recycling" M2 cards. What else can I say? Nothing more to say.
Fulfils its purpose perfectly, replaces a 2.5" HDD or SSD without any problems.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use it on a computer that is not in stock.
I'm going to have it tested by the LDLC shop in Paris, where I received it..... not recognized by the BIOS (Windows 10 PRP 64bits), and moreover heats up abnormally ...Bios updated ...without effect ....

Bought this because my motherboard does not support m2 NGFF but m2 PCI-e, which has identical but incompatible ports.
To prepare partitions for an SSD on a standard PC is very convenient.
I'm very happy to have a partition created with all the drivers and software, with a new PC without a CD/DVD drive, it's a real time saver.
I also bought the M-SATA version, all available in the Villefranche sur Saône shop.
Used on a LDLC Dual Dock QS Station (http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00184700.html) to format my m.2 SSDs without having to mount and dismount them on the motherboard, it is practical and well thought out. For those who like to tinker.
