This is my first Macbook Pro, and after hesitating for a long time, I decided to go ahead and buy it, without any regrets. 3 Thunderbolt ports, an SD card port... it's a life-changer, especially for a photographer-videographer.
I initially wanted the 32GB, but because I couldn't pay in 3 instalments, I settled for this one. So far, the power is sufficient (for Lrc and Davinci Resolve).
No worries at all, unlike some of my counterparts who bought their Macs from somewhere other than LDLC. LDLC must surely check the products before sending them. Thanks for the note from the LDLC team, it's lovely.
Best Mac I've ever had! After my disappointing MacBook Pro 2017 of power and constant heating. This one is much more powerful than my old i7 with 16GB of memory for the same price, I've never heard it heat up, and a truly magnificent screen!
I use it mainly for image and video applications, which are pretty resource-hungry, and it does better than my big, overboosted desktop PC!
I've bought a 2TB external SSD to make up for the small TB included, and I'm even thinking of adding a 4K screen so I can work more comfortably...

The Mac OS system is a delight to use on a daily basis, and the build quality of this computer is exceptional. I used to swear by OLED screens, but I have to admit that this screen is well worth it, with the added bonus of colour calibration that gives you the impression of having people right in front of you. Superb. This processor is a good compromise between power/autonomy/heating, so far I haven't heard the fans and the PC lasts me a whole 12-hour day without any worries, a real treat. Only the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, as the stroke is very short. And despite all the ports, you still need a dongle to plug in a simple USB-A stick.
I can't recommend it highly enough
I replaced my Ryzen 7 3700X 24GB desktop PC with this machine. The M2 Max chip is very powerful for my VFX video editing using After Effects.
As for the screen I have never seen such quality, the black is really black, it is the best screen on the market.
The best machine for productivity, creation or entertainment that I have used.
I use it with an external Acer 34" ultrawide screen as you can see on the screenshot.
As far as battery life is concerned, nothing to say, I spend the whole day without charging my MacBook.
I recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful machine, you won't be disappointed!
