Even if the product isn't state-of-the-art, it meets my needs within my budget.
The product meets my expectations very well, I use it as a monitor for my PC. The image is perfect, and I have no problems with games, which all run at full 4k and 120Hz.
Better than a PC monitor: - Cheaper
- Much bigger
Easy-to-configure television. Lots of automatic functions. Instant internet connection. Quality picture (55") and clear sound. Samsung TV to boot. Very satisfied with this purchase. It's a real change for me.
The image is very fine and detailed. The adaptive backlighting makes the picture very bright (some videos were completely black on the old one, but now everything is clearly visible).
The sound is powerful and well adapted, so there's no need for the sound bar.
So I'm very happy with this model, with three exceptions.
- There's no aerial in my house, everything goes through the Freebox. The integrated Oqee app replaces the Freebox Pop player (fewer wires), but the remote control is too simplified: there are no numbers, so to go to a channel you have to type in all the intermediate channels (either with "+/-", or on the list displayed with the down arrow).
- The second negative point, again with the remote, is that when you press "+/-" (directly, without pulling up or down), you're supposed to get the channel list, but you always end up with the boring Samsung TV channels that I don't like. Samsung TV channels that I couldn't care less about.
- The third point is that you can't delete applications, or deactivate them. They're still there and active even if you remove them from the main screen called Samsung Hub (especially Samsung TV).
I'd recommend this Samsung model, as I wanted a QLED for better contrast and good picture quality in bright conditions. The TV offers very good autocalibration right from the start. The user interface is very pleasant and modern, and gives you access to lots of different services, including cloud gaming.
Design-wise, it's exactly what I was looking for, with a central stand that makes it much easier to install on any type of TV stand, which is much better than the two small feet at either end that are found on other TVs.
What I really like: modern interface, colour and resolution, picture clarity, brightness, design, refresh rate and compatibility with next-gen consoles and cloud gaming, OS with plenty of services.
A very good image quality and fluidity in the menu and game mode with the ps5 is incredible
