Yeti uses Blue's Triple Capsule technology to produce crystal clear, studio-quality recordings. It features four different modes allowing you to record vocals, instruments, podcasts, or interviews where you would normally need multiple microphones. With built-in buttons for headphone volume control, mode selection, mute and microphone gain, you'll create great recordings right out of the box.

With a visual inspired by classic recording tools, the Yeti's stylish, retro aesthetic will complement any computer system beautifully. Its shiny metal grille and chrome frame are reminiscent of the look of old-fashioned microphones. And because it's mounted on a swivel, you can adjust and rotate the microphone to suit the sound source, improving sound quality. Once you've positioned it at the desired angle, you can use the screws provided to hold it in place. The microphone can also be folded for portability, or detached from the base for field recording.

Versatile recording capability

The Blue Microphones Yeti Studio features four different setting modes for versatile recording capability:

• Stereo Mode: Stereo mode uses both the right and left channel, and is ideal for capturing a realistic, overall sound image.
• Cardioid mode: Suitable for podcasts, singing, and other vocals, cardioid mode records sound sources emitted directly in front of the microphone. It produces a rich, dense sound.
• Omnidirectional mode: Omnidirectional mode captures sound from all directions equally. It is recommended for situations where you want to capture the general atmosphere - such as recording a live band.
• Bi-directional mode: Bi-directional mode records from both the front and back of the microphone. It is ideal for capturing the nuances of a musical instrument or recording a conversation between two people.
