I waited a while to choose the best configuration (I had a MacBook Pro)
I've been using the Mac Studio M4 Max for some time now and I'm pretty impressed with its performance. coming from an early 2010 Intel iMac, the switch to mac Studio has not been without its effects!
For example:
heavy tasks (relational database processing) executed in record time :
from 2 minutes 50 previously (old iMac) the Studio processes everything in less than 10 seconds!
The same goes for compiling large files: from almost 3 minutes on a PC, the Studio does it in 14 seconds!
Combined with the Studio display, the result is perfect for my purposes.
I had a little problem with the delivery time. I had to wait over a month to receive my Mac Studio. The reason I had to wait was that LDLC adds an extra year to the warranty.
I bought this Mac Studio to replace my MacBook Pro Mid 2014 (which is still working).
Most of my work is sedentary, so there was no point in going back to a Macbook.
The performance of this computer is logically amazing compared with my old computer.
I can use my image processing software again, all in silence ;-)
The Mac Studio is exactly what I wanted and it works perfectly with my Apple display.
It's nice to have 2 classic USB ports behind it because I can plug my supercharged DVD player directly into it.
I don't have a keyboard with Touch ID to unlock it easily, but it works perfectly with the Apple Watch.
Excellent computer, compact, powerful, easy. Nothing to criticise, on the contrary it's probably the best Mac I've ever had.
