Product meets my needs. Very good welcome and advice from the seller..............................
It arrived well packaged and on time.
The product is great, but it has one big flaw if you use it with Windows. (I'm not saying it's the product's fault, but it's the OS's).
In fact, a Microsoft update means that the NUC no longer goes on the Internet. It sees the local network, but that's all.
You need to know how to go back, or restore the system manually before each update.
Apart from that, if you respect the generation for the SSD, everything's fine.
Not tested under Linux, so no opinion with this OS.
I've tried it with dual screen HDMI, I've also tried it with a screen connected via USB-c (2K screen with KVM and webcam), everything works very well and the performance, for its use in office/web browsing, is more than adequate.
16G ram ssd 512G debian trixie.everything works fine. The fan is very discreet on current tasks.
I had to fix the hdmi port in the bios because it didn't always detect my monitor.
EXCELLENT BOX, NO NEED FOR A SCREWDRIVER TO ADD THE DDR AND SSD.
HOW STILL ASUS IS TOP
DELIVERY TOP
IN SHORT RANGER YOUR HAMMER AND SCREWDRIVER....
PS: PAY ATTENTION TO SSD FORMAT
The product is as described and the performance is very good. On the other hand, the network card is a disaster. Packet loss, offloading of udp checksum which works randomly. I had to buy a usb ethernet card to get by. Product ok if you're on wifi or don't need ethernet connectivity, otherwise I'd choose a model without this card next time.
Benefits:
Installing the M2 SSD is easy and hassle-free. I put in a 2nd SSD 2.5 for storage.
Drivers are easily installed via a package on the ASUS website. The same goes for updating the bios: an executable version of the update via Windows. It couldn't be easier.
The PC is responsive and quiet. High-performance WiFi.
Great for surfing, office work and multimedia.
It can be used for small games, but don't expect much more.
Minuses:
The ASUS logo is not present on the front, as it is on the LDLC photo and on the box too. So it's more like an ASUS-style Intel NUC.
The useless 2nd M2 SSD port: Not many models available.
The keyboard/mouse dongle only works on the front USB ports. The whole thing works very poorly if you plug it into a rear port. What's more, the 2nd front port doesn't work when the dongle is plugged in: a USB key isn't detected if it's plugged into the other available port.
The design of the case is quite effective, and it's easy enough to fit the disks and RAM.
The Core 3 processor is more than sufficient for office work and even simple games.
The only downside is that it lacks a headphone socket.
