It's been 2 years since I bought this product. The keyboard is expensive, that's a fact, but the comfort of typing and the magnetic wrist rest mean that I've quickly adopted it.
The key click is less noisy than that of the Blackwidow, which has green switches as opposed to purple ones, which is a plus!
The RGB is sober and doesn't attack the eyes, there's no need for anything more unless you want a little rainbow pony unicorn desktop.
Razer's downside remains their Synapse software, which is as cumbersome as ever, even if it's handy when you know how to use it.
It's pretty much the best in terms of responsiveness (optical switches, 8khz hyperpolling....).
I think it's magnificent, takes up very little space and is VERY QUIET compared to my old Corsair K70 Rapidfire.
It's the equivalent of a linear switch. I'm very happy with it for my complete razer setup (blackshark+nommo+deathadder+......). I wanted to unify everything under razer synapse, which I find very successful.
Overall, the keyboard is good - the keys are quiet enough, the stabilisers do their job and the keyboard is responsive.
The keys :
- textured keys (a little too much for my taste)
-very fine typography.
-I can understand the logic, but it's disturbing, as it highlights a lot of "ugly" symbols.
Keys + backlight..... (I'm not a fan of tinsel and I type with ten fingers)
-with the keys the backlighting is very weak, the macbook keys are better backlit....
-only the top part of the keys is backlit, otherwise you end up with printouts, as soon as it gets dark all the functionality keys... good luck
-So the numbers aren't backlit.
I got the keys from my old K63 corsair keyboard, (only the bottom ranger is not compatible and there are no longer the play pause etc... function symbols).
The backlighting is great all of a sudden, and the few keys that I don't know I can find quickly.
The backlighting is now more powerful than on my old K63, and the variation in brightness finally makes a difference.
Conclusion: the keyboard is great, the keys are really bad even though they're 2shot-pbt. It's a shame, without the key problems it would be very good.
NB: the qwerty version has all the symbols on the top of the keys.
This keyboard is perfect for competitive games, nothing to say about its performance but at least the wrist rest is of average quality, it quickly takes the shape of the wrist and the lighting is poor (some symbols are not illuminated, it's a shame) otherwise very good products.
After being disappointed with Razer's blackwindow a few years ago, I decided to return to Razer.
And I am totally conquered, this keyboard is a total reactivity, the switch is very pleasant and the opto-mechanical is a total success. The R.G.B lacks a bit of brightness though.
The keycaps are fine and beautiful and the coating of this one are a little grainy which is all in all extremely pleasant to the touch
The wrist rest is very comfortable and seems to be of very good quality.
