loudspeakers corresponding to what I was looking for, fast delivery and well protected, site to be recommended for its seriousness.
So let's start with the positive:
Top-notch ldlc delivery
The speakers are beautiful in chestnut finish
The sound is clean and neutral
Power is more than enough for a 25m2 living room
Easy to install
And unfortunately, the negative:
THE REMOTE CONTROL! What a disaster, for a product at this price. It only works one time out of 5 when you press the buttons. It's very frustrating when you're constantly adjusting the sound, inputs etc... In short, it only works when you are 2m max away from the speaker, and directly in front of the sensor. If you move 20° away, it won't work. I wonder if it is not a defective product so bad on this point. My pc speaker at 1/10 the price of the ln01a does better on this point, that's saying something!
The bluetooth remains activated even when the speaker is used in optical/RCA, so the peripherals connect to it as soon as it is turned on.
I couldn't find any mention in the manual about how to remove a bluetooth device from the speaker that is connected to it. So if one of my neighbours connects to it, no way to kick it out?
Conclusion: a mixed opinion, we have good sound but user experience spoiled by the remote control & the bad choices of the manufacturer in bluetooth.
Beautifully made speakers, perfect sound for this price range. With a good phono cable, ideal for my Audio Technica turntable.
The product was received on time and very well packaged, nothing to complain about.
I will not hesitate to order again through LDLC.
Very good quality speakers: nice finish, very pleasant sound. They accept several inputs, which makes it easy to use them with several devices (for example, we connected them to our TV and our vinyl player). The bluetooth mode works well to play music from a phone.
The box is very heavy and big, so if you have it delivered to a shop, be sure to have something to carry it in.
I got these speakers for a small living room to replace a basic 2.1.
They are very elegant and have no rough edges except for the back for the connections. The front protections are fixed by magnets, no system is visible which allows to have a visible baffle design as elegant.
The 3m connection between speakers may indeed be short in a large living room.
Excluding the volume control on the back and the on/off switch, the interface is limited to a front LED and a remote control.
It's best to take care of the manual and the remote control if you don't want to end up having to adjust everything from the back (the manual mentions this way but I haven't figured out how it works yet). The remote control works well but is a bit clunky, which is a pity as it is used a lot. This is in contrast to the careful design of the speakers. The whole thing remains in the minimalist tone though.
With the front protections, the LED remains visible up close.
Without an input, the speakers go into standby mode after a few minutes (1/2 hour?), so you have to reactivate them regularly.
The Bluetooth connection is good.
The equipment had its baptism of fire for the new year and was very pleased. The volume is more than enough to provide sound for a small living room. The saturation is only felt in the vicinity of the cut-off volume (pushed to the limit, the speakers make micro cuts, probably a protection system).
I found a spatialization of the various sounds compared to the clutter of my previous equipment, it is very pleasant.
I agree with the previous opinions on the highs which are very present: after having checked, the Triangle speakers stand out with a metallic sound, it is coherent. On this point, each one will see to his own door.
There is a lack of amplitude towards the infras when listening to electro or groove. The addition of a subwoofer will not be a luxury in the long run.
Good sound and aesthetics in a small package. All connection possibilities make it versatile.
The entry-level speakers of a high-end brand (French, no less) at a strangely small price, what do the people expect! In addition to their sober design that I love, the sound quality is good (for the Hi-Fi neophyte that I am), the Bluetooth range is excellent, and all the connectivity is obviously provided. The magnetic grilles are a real pleasure to handle. I encourage you to read the test on Les Numériques for more information.
Delivered in shops (not always easy when you work far away during the week...) I was a bit afraid of the weight but the 11.5 kg were manageable.
Besides this detail, once installed (well 3m of cables it is a little short especially as they are able to sound clearly bigger than a room) the surprise is warm, even if the sound is too much in the low register (and the highs are muffled) they have a power and a fineness of return of the real details, especially after a period of breaking-in (even if I am the first one to be very dubious on this "practice") and the summary adjustments of the remote control.
So yes, if you put on a little "Angel" by Massive Attack you will realize the rather blowing capacity of these speakers which seem decidedly larger than their real size, for a 13.For a 13.5 cm woofer it's quite impressive, and for the rest of the spectrum after these small adjustments all the frequencies seem to be present (I admit that a small equalizer like the one of foobar for example helps a lot) the highs are crystalline without tearing (silk tweeters) the channels/mids in general can be a little bit in the background as it seemed to be said in a test, but the reproduction is really hifi, no doubt.
For the connections, 3.5/ RCA & Bluetooth work perfectly, and the synchronization of the latter is perfect.
In short, if the little guys from Triangle have worked for a while before releasing this very first pair of active speakers (the field of amplification being new for the brand) the effort is real, they are clearly serious and solid (in every sense of the word)
So I warmly recommend them!
The product photos are not misleading, the finish is impeccable. The connection cable between the two speakers is provided but a little short (about 3 meters) it is of good quality.
The sound delivered is perfectly balanced for music, the spatialization effect is particularly well rendered.
For home cinema use, the small size of the speakers does not allow them to deliver the low frequencies that shake the walls, the neighbours appreciate it. However, if you want a more spectacular effect, the addition of a small active subwoofer is to be considered, an RCA output is provided for that.
Used on a PC with a good sound card, these speakers outperform any PC audio kit or soundbar.
