This StarTech.com 2-port DisplayPort HDMI KVM switch (P2ADDH462-KVM-SWITCH) allows you to control two computers from a single keyboard, mouse and two monitors. It is designed for professional workstations and IT environments that require fast switching between two systems while maintaining a multi-monitor setup. It is suitable for technical offices, workstations and shared computing spaces. The device supports a mixed video configuration with an HDMI monitor and a DisplayPort monitor used simultaneously. Both video outputs support a maximum resolution of up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. The switch incorporates a 2-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) hub for sharing USB peripherals, as well as 2 dedicated HID USB ports for keyboard and mouse.
Switching between computers is done via physical buttons on the front panel or using keyboard shortcuts, without the need to install drivers or software, ensuring BIOS/UEFI-level operation. The metal casing contributes to the reliability of the unit and reduces electromagnetic interference. Compatibility is announced with Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
