The Nd3 cartridge, meanwhile, is meticulously handcrafted by Rega's highly skilled technicians. High-quality elliptical synthetic polycrystalline diamond is bonded to a round titanium rod. The design uses a completely new generator geometry with perfect symmetry for precise channel balance. The Nd3 cell also benefits from an optimised air gap for superior linearity and crosstalk, offering a much wider soundstage.The cell features miniaturised parallel coils, wound internally with 38 micron wire at just 1,275 turns. This produces a low-inductance, low-impedance generator, offering a much improved high-frequency response.
Superior musical performance
Supported by premium design and noble materials, the Rega Planar 3 turntable reveals superior qualities for playing your music collection efficiently. This model features a belt drive system, a 24V motor and is capable of playing 33 and 45 rpm (switching is done manually). The Planar 3 is equipped with a 12 mm thick glass platter and a Rega Exact cartridge with Vital tip and parallel winding.

The RB330 tone arm of the Rega Planar 3 vinyl turntable features a high degree of stability and a friction reduction system for an optimal musical experience. You'll also find automatic anti-skating and adjustable pressure via the counterweight.
Last but not least, installation can be complemented with an external amplifier via the RCA connectors.
