The order arrived quickly, packaging intact, the product is great, image quality, connectivity, etc... Nothing to say!
Personally, I had no problems assembling the stand. All three parts of the stand fit together by slotting them together, and the stand is then slotted onto the television without any mechanical fastenings, which is brilliant. The sound is very satisfactory, and the picture is superb. Unlike Bruno, I find that the screen hardly reflects daylight at all, even though my television is positioned under a Velux window and perpendicular to a window. You can see from the photo of the television when it is switched off that the reflection from the window is really not very visible; it's not a mirror.
As for LDLC's service, it is impeccable, as usual, whether for delivery or for taking back the old television.
I use the 42-inch Samsung S90F as a PC monitor.
Pros:
- The glossy OLED panel provides a vibrant image with deep blacks, especially at night.
- The remote control is really small (3.5 cm by 13.5 cm).
- Some of the USB ports provide 5-volt power. This means you can connect a light bar to illuminate your desk. The light bar does not cause any additional glare on the screen.
- The screen supports FreeSync Premium Pro at 120Hz (in 4K: HDMI 2.1 = max 120Hz / DisplayPort 2.0 = over 120Hz).
- Under Windows 11, there are no problems with gaming (2k or 4k) or 4k office applications.
Cons:
- Delivery was delayed by one day. So I took a day off work and waited at home until 11:53 a.m. for nothing
- The glossy screen is a real mirror during the day
- The speakers have the merit of existing
- Under Ubuntu, a blue tint illuminates some of the characters in the Ubuntu icons, the web browser, etc. Apart from this, everything is OK in 4k
I had a minor problem with the right foot, which wouldn't click into place, and I struggled for 15 or 20 minutes to get it on, fearing that I might break the screen. But for the rest, the delivery, the product, the assembly and even my eyes after having enjoyed it a little, I'm a delighted customer.
