A USB hub designed for industrial environments
This 16-port USB 3.0 hub with 5 Gbps shared bandwidth delivers fast, efficient transfer speeds, making it ideal for data-intensive applications. The hub features a 2-port host switch, allowing users to switch between two host devices, streamlining device management. The hub also includes ESD protection to prevent static electricity. Versatile mounting hardware is included for flexible installation options. In addition, the hub supports USB BC 1.2, enabling fast charging of battery-powered USB devices. Extended possibilities
This USB hub is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments. It has a robust steel casing that offers protection against physical hazards such as drops and impacts. It has Level 4 ESD protection, with discharges of 15 kV in air and 8 kV on contact, to prevent damage caused by static electricity. These features make the USB hub an excellent choice for use in factories, production lines and other industrial environments.
This USB hub offers two 12-24V DC power supply options. Power can be introduced using either the 2-wire terminal block connector or the barrel connector. Both options support the USB 1.2 (BC 1.2) battery charging specification with 120W shared between all ports. The ports are grouped into 8 pairs (1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, 9&10, 11&12, 13&14, 15&16) and each pair supports a maximum of 3.0A/15W combined (1.5A/7.5W per port), or a maximum of 2.0A/10W per port when only one of the two ports is used. This USB hub is OS-independent, ensuring compatibility with all operating systems, including Windows, macOS and Linux.
Three mounting options
The 16-port USB hub offers three mounting options to suit a wide variety of applications, from computing to industry. The 19-inch rack mounting rails supplied with the 16-port USB hub are EIA-310 compliant, ensuring compatibility with standard racks. These rails can be used to install the USB hub in 1U of rack space for data centre and server room applications. Integrated surface mounting is perfect for workstations, desks or walls, where users need quick access to the USB hub. Standard DIN rail mounting hardware (Top Hat/TH) is more suitable for industrial automation and control equipment.
