Getting the most out of your headphones or earphones
iFi Audio 's GO link Max isthe ideal pocket-sized solution for audiophile Hi-Res sound lovers new and old. Like Go link, GO link Max is the missing link that will give you a much better listening experience. Firstly, it will enable wired headphones and earphones to be connected to digital devices that do not have a 3.5 mm mini jack or 4.4 mm jack headphone output. Secondly, even if your device has a headphone socket, it will offer you a great sound upgrade. In fact, its sophisticated DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) and headphone amplification circuits are superior to the audio technology contained in smart devices and computers.
Move with your music
At one end of the GO link Max is a USB-C connector, and at the other are the DAC and headphone amp circuits, both housed in robust but lightweight magnesium alloy cases. Between the two is a 6cm length of flexible cable - this facilitates practicality, allowing the DAC/amplifier section to be angled towards the listener and reducing strain on the USB port to which the GO link is connected.
At the heart of the GO link is a high-performance Sabre ES9219 DAC chip - featuring 32-bit HyperStream III architecture. Combined with Quad DAC + and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technologies, as well as iFi Audio's dedicated clock circuit using a specialised crystal oscillator, this GO link Max delivers ultra-low distortion, excellent clarity and impressive dynamic range. High-end features such as adjustable analogue gain with DRE (Dynamic Range Enhancement) that achieves an additional +6dB of dynamic range,as well as technologies to minimise THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and crosstalk are possible thanks to the advanced specifications of the DAC chip.
Premium performance and Hi-Res Audio certification
The GO link Max is equipped with a 3.5 mm mini-jack socket, incorporating the S-Balanced configuration to reduce noise and crosstalk, as well as a balanced 4.4 mm jack socket. Both of these sockets are gold-plated for improved conductivity. The Go link Maxdelivers an output power of 100 mW at 32 ohms and a maximum output voltage of 2.4 V at 600 ohms. This gives it plenty of punch to drive all types of headphones and earphones likely to be used, and easily outperforms the built-in headphone outputs on smartphones and computers.
GO Link Max has direct volume control. When you adjust the volume on your device, the change is made directly in the DAC chip. This ensures that maximum detail is retained and that you can enjoy the full richness of your Hi-Res Audio music at any volume.
